Basic application readiness

  • The applicant is an adult seeking the furnished shared-housing arrangement Calm Waters currently offers.
  • The applicant can manage daily living independently within a non-medical home.
  • The applicant understands that a request may be submitted from anywhere in Michigan, but a placement can be considered only where Calm Waters-operated housing is verified as available.
  • A potential payment source or payment plan can be identified before move-in.
  • The applicant or authorized referral professional can provide accurate contact information and respond to follow-up requests.

An accommodation, access need, uncertain answer, or unusual circumstance is not treated as an automatic adverse decision. It is routed for staff review.

What happens next

  1. Submit. You receive an application ID and receipt.
  2. Prescreen. Clear objective fit rules are applied; uncertain or accommodation-related answers go to staff review.
  3. Review. Staff may request information or invite the applicant to screening.
  4. Availability. A qualified application may enter availability review or active availability review. Submission is not a bed reservation.
  5. Offer and move-in. Any offer, deadline, payment terms, room facts, and move-in instructions are confirmed in writing.
